ホコリをかぶったカメラ機材を売りにだしました。

なんちゃってカメラマンとしてやらせていただいています。この機材はとある撮影現場でしりあった税理士の人が、昔はカメラが趣味で、、、と、もう機材いらないから全部あげる。といただいたものです。

まだまだ現役で使えるものばかりなのですが、金がない、新しいカメラが欲しい、この機材、そんな使わないよ、オレ。ということでアメリカではおなじみ個人売買サイトcraigslist.orgに掲載しました。

この傘だけ売ってくれ、とかの個々で売ってくれの人やバイアグラ安いよ！とかのスパムメールが届く中、

「親戚の誕生日で是非プレゼントしたい。実は東海岸に住んでいて送料はこっちで持つから$1000で売ってくれ」

なんていうメールが届きました。この方に売ろうと話を進めていると、

「支払いはPaypalで」という話。Paypalでのお金のやり取りは危険だよ。との話をよく聞くので、「チェックを送ってくれ、で、お金が入金されたのを確認したら発送するよ」という話に。まぁ、このあたりから詐欺じゃないか？と半信半疑になってきたんですが。もし詐欺でもおもしろそうなので先に進めることにしました。

そして数日後、

I want you to understand that my secretary has posted the payment to you thru fedex and the tracking number is 798379269086 and also it will be delivered to you today ,but there was a slight error i guess we can handle with care, instead of the actually amount for the the items ,she made out $2000 on the check claiming, that was what i requested but she didn’t get that straight…So once you have the check please cash it and deduct the money for your goods .The excess fund should please be sent to the my shipping agent thru Western Union to the following infor so that he can come over for pick up as soon as he receive the money, i want you to contact me as soon as you receive this message to know if you can get the check cashed

でた！詐欺確定です。

つまりは「まちがって$2000おくっちゃたからチェック受け取ったらアカウントにお金入れて、$1000のチェックをここに送って」っていうこと。

つまりは$2000のチェックは偽物で$1000の私のチェックをだまし取ろうという話。

その数日後、見事にあやしー$2000のチェックが届きました。一度そういった詐欺に会っているハウスメイトがそのチェックを鑑定した結果、偽物だという話。

これを警察にもっていってもうちょっと話をややこしくするべきか悩み中。
